Australia - T-Minus 1 day!
Well what a hectic week this has been. First let me tell you it is all done. I am ready. That is the good news. Now let me tell you that it was not easy to get here. The obstacles and difficulties that arose for me to make it were at times formidable, but through persistance and prayer I have reached this point where I am now ready to leave.
My House
I sold my house!!! Yahoo!!
Some of you may not realise the significance of this yet, but my Real-Estate agent and his staff did. The day my last contract went unconditional they all shouted for joy and relief.
Four contracts. The first three fell through on finance. One of them after a tough fight because of an over-zealous buiding inspector who couldn't tell reality from fiction. The fourth involved another fight. This time it was over a pest inspector who claimed incorrectly that part of the house structures were severely damaged. This spooked the buyers initially, but much prayer brought their demands from $8,000 down to $2,000. Ironically, every building and pest inspection on my house was different to the ones before it. To my knowledge, not one of them was the same.
Through prayer and persistence I now have an unconditional contract which means that for all intents and purposes, my house has sold. The money and owership changes hands on the 19th Dec.
My Argentinian Visa Documents
To study in Argentina I needed three documents; a birth certificate (which I had), a medical certificate (which I got ok), and a police clearance (which I didn't have time to get because it needed 10 days and I had only 8).
Each of these needed to be translated into Spanish by a registered translator, and then receive an Apostille stamp - a 24hr process. When I rang for the police clearance on Monday I was told that it was on schedule for being finished on Friday 28th. Too late. So I prayed with my family. On Tuesday I rang and they told me it would be ready that afternoon!!! How amazing things do happen when you pray!
So now I have my documentation for getting a student visa in Argentina. Very cool!
Feelings
Well, now I am sitting here about to leave for the airport. There is a strange feeling of peace surrounding me. I am acutely aware of what I am about to lose and yet there is a sureity of destiny that envelops me. I know that I am in God's hands, and I know that this is so right to be doing. God's peace is with me, and I feel it ever so strongly.
Goodbye
Well this is now good bye. I have to go as I am already a little late. Thank you everyone for your support while I have been near. Thank you also for all of the emails I have received and encouragement you have given me.
I trust that in the future there will be an opportunity for us to meet again. For my friends to whom I am coming, I am looking forward to seeing you again after so long.
Thank you my wonderful friends, and family. I love you all heaps. You are a strength and support to me and I will always hold you firmly in my heart whereever I am.
With love for always, Rob.
